I’m excited to announce a new partnership with the Virginia Living Museum! Beginning in June through the month of September, the VLM will have 4 of my original oil paintings of shorebirds on display and for sale in their museum. It is all part of a partnership we’ve developed to help raise money for the museum.
A significant percentage of the proceeds from the sale of these paintings will be donated to the museum to further the museum’s important mission of caring for more than 250 living species native to Virginia. Additionally, any paintings purchased from my website, www.williamrbeebe.com, by a VLM friend or member will also go towards a generous donation to the museum.
My relatively newfound passion for painting bird life, led me to discover the VLM, their Aviary, the wonderful people who work there, and has inspired me to want to help support the organization and give back.
It is all part of a program my wife, Jen, and I have developed to join forces whenever we can, partnering with like-minded organizations using my art in a beneficial way. Having my art on display and in front of people who have an interest in bird life is a wonderful opportunity! It is a unique opportunity for a member or friend of the museum to not only purchase an original work of art, but also greatly support one of their favorite organizations!
I’m thrilled to be sharing my passion for painting bird life with all of those visiting the VLM. I hope the program will be a big success and that we will continue a long-term relationship.
The four paintings that will be on display at the museum include Snowy Egret Slow Walking, Taking Flight, Pelicans Twilight Flight, and Pelican Perfectly Perched. To learn more about each piece you can visit the Birds portfolio on my website. I hope, too, that you will be able to visit the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News Virginia, my paintings, and see and learn about all the 250 plus living creatures up-close in their natural habitats.
Other organizations that we have recently partnered with include The Maine Windjammer Association and The Schooner Virginia/Virginia Maritime Heritage Foundation, through the promotion of my maritime work.
