Usually when I’m out birding I’m on the lookout for Great Blue Herons, Ospreys, Eagles, Pelicans, Sanderlings, and other shorebirds, however, when they aren’t around sometimes my attention and camera turns and focuses on the little birds!
I thought it would be fun to put together a compilation of some of the photographs I’ve taken in the last few years. They are all from the great State of Virginia. Many were spotted in our own backyard or on various birding outings in our surrounding area.
It always excites me when I see a bird I’m not familiar with. I don’t consider myself a bird expert at all, just an artist who appreciates their beauty. If I’m not photographing birds, I’m most likely painting them. They’ve become the main focus of my art at this point in my career.
I hope you enjoy this short video that I created entitled Little Birds of Virginia, and if you feel so inclined share it with others. Be sure to watch in HD (in the settings option).
Thanks as always for following all that I’m up to in the world of art. Like the drawing I did below, I’m trying to figure out what’s next! Stay tuned!
