Framed oil painting
36 x 30 (image size) oil on canvas
After completing Montepulciano Vista I wanted to create a companion piece, working with a similar palette. The rows of sunflowers and surrounding greenery were simplified in shape so the focus of the painting would be more about color patterns and not on the sunflowers themselves. The rich saturation of color in the field allowed for a stronger light in the painting thereby giving the impression of an approaching "golden hour."
