Opening Night ~ Sometimes it all just comes together!

Last night over a year’s worth of planning turned into a most memorable evening! Kingsmill residents along with other invited guests graciously spent their Friday evening viewing my paintings.  As uncomfortable as I am being the center of attention, the warmth I felt being surrounded by so many wonderful people with such nice things to say about my work made the evening fly by.

The good people at Kingsmill thought through all of the details, large and small.  I can’t say enough good things about them. It all just came together last night!

At various points in the evening, I glanced around to witness people studying my paintings up close.  It is the best feeling for an artist to have someone studying and appreciating a painting.  I’m thankful for all of the nice compliments, the kind words will always stay with me.  Thanks so much to all of our friends that turned out, showing their continuous support of me and my artwork.

The special night was topped off by being able to place several red dots on the wall!  It is always the ultimate compliment for an artist.

Here are a few pictures of opening night.  The exhibit will continue through the month of October at Kingsmill Resort.  I hope those of you who couldn’t make it last night will get a chance to stop by the resort and take a peek.
